This paper interrogates the transformations brought about by artificial intelligence (AI) from a critical pedagogical perspective. In fact, the pervasive presence of AI systems does not constitute a mere technical update of educational contexts, but a profound transformation of learning environments in which subjects exercise their agency in the construction of identity and in their interpretive relationship with the world. Drawing on the philosophical horizon of responsibility ‒ from Jonas to Anders, through Floridi and Biesta ‒ the paper argues that the disorientation produced by AI may be understood as a formative opportunity, provided that education is able to respond with adequate interpretive tools. Within this framework, AI Literacy is not conceived as mere technical competence, but as an essential dimension of active citizenship, to be developed through interdisciplinary approaches capable of bridging knowledge, critical reflection, and ethical responsibility.
