Variazione diatopica e evoluzione diacronica e metodologica. Il caso dei pronomi possessivi con i nomi di parentela in alcuni dialetti italiani

This study investigates the variation and optionality in constructions that express third-person possession with kinship terms in dialects spoken in various areas of Northern, Central, Southern, and Insular Italy. The analysis of the data and the comparison of the results with the evidence reported in the AIS maps and existing literature have allowed us to identify a situation that only partially replicates the picture presented in previous documents and studies. In addition to the expected variation among the different dialects, several cases of optionality and forms not highlighted in the literature were identified. These phenomena can be attributed to the evolution of the language and to the methodological approach used in this study, which enabled the collection of a greater amount of information for each geographic area considered.
