Fraseologismos somáticos en el DUE de María Moliner: un estudio desde la perspectiva de los aprendices de ELE

This article sets out to explore the treatment of a corpus of phraseological units in María Moliner’s Diccionario de uso del español (DUE), with the aim of assessing to what extent this dictionary can represent an effective tool for the acquisition of Spanish as a foreign language. As the lexicographer herself states in the prologue to the first edition (1966-67: IX), «the designation “de uso” applied to this dictionary means that it is an instrument to guide in its use both native speakers and learners». Even so, the pedagogical implications of the lexicographical innovations introduced by Moliner have not yet been the subject of in-depth studies, especially as far as phraseology is concerned. In order to contribute to the study of the lexicographical work carried out by Moliner, it has been decided to compile a corpus of phraseological units from the first edition of the Diccionario de uso del español and then to compare it both with subsequent editions of the DUE itself and with the eighteenth edition of the Diccionario de la lengua española de la Real Academia Española (1956), which, as it is known, María Moliner took as a starting point for the creation of her work.
