Fernando Bandini (Vicenza, 30 July 1931 - 25 December 2013) was a philologist, translator, poet, and prominent figure in the Italian literary scene of the second half of the 20th century. His literary activity is of great interest as it consists of poems in Italian, in Vicenza dialect and in Latin, some of which still unpublished. In 2019, under the title Memoris munus amoris (Genoa, ed. San Marco dei Giustiniani), Leopoldo Gamberale brought to light seven Latin poems from the 'Carte Bandini' preserved at the Accademia Olimpica in Vicenza. The present study, in which hitherto unknown Italian poems are published, focuses on the theme of the poet’s father in Bandini's Italian and Latin poetry.
