The article concisely illustrates the career of the archaeologist and art historian Eva Tea (Biella 1886 – Verona 1971). In particular, the essay is focused on the letters she wrote to Adolfo Venturi, ten of which are preserved in the Venturi Archive of the Scuola Normale Superiore di Pisa. Written between 1919 and 1939 (most probably), the letters span topics of work and research she was discussing with Venturi and more intimate and personal notes where the pupil asks her maestro for his advice and suggestions. A full transcript of the letters is offered in appendix.
