This work presents and discusses the results from measurements of PM10 concentrations and of its content in metals obtained in different sites of the Venice lagoon area where the construction of the mobile gates (MOSE) is going on. Measurements were taken between 2007 and 2013 and were statistically analysed, using correlation with local meteorology. The objective of the analysis was to characterise the spatial and seasonal variability in concentrations getting information on probable aerosol sources. Multi-year trends in absolute and relative concentrations will be discussed in relation to air quality in the lagoon area.
