A test for narrative production (LITMUS-MAIN) was adapted to assess the narrative skills of 3 bilingual (Italian/Calabrian) students with Developmental Dyslexia (DD). An in-depth analysis on syntactic complexity showed low percentages of complex subordination in two DD participants’ narrative texts. Negative linguistic transfers were found in the control groups’ clitic production. The study contributes to the international debate on the assessment of language and learning impairments in bilingual contexts.

Abstract
A test for narrative production (LITMUS-MAIN) was adapted to assess the narrative skills of 3 bilingual (Italian/Calabrian) students with Developmental Dyslexia (DD). An in-depth analysis on syntactic complexity showed low percentages of complex subordination in two DD participants’ narrative texts. Negative linguistic transfers were found in the control groups’ clitic production. The study contributes to the international debate on the assessment of language and learning impairments in bilingual contexts.File in questo prodotto:
