The paper focuses on the scholia to Lucan’s poem, which are featured by manuscript Monacensis 14505 (codex R within Cavajoni’s edition of Supplementum Adnotationum super Lucanum – Milan-Amsterdam 1979-1990). On the basis of a complete exploration of the manuscript, now available online, it shows that this corpus of annotations includes a number of large excerpta taken from Isidore’s Etymologies. With regard to these excerpta, the contribution aims to provide a selection of cases in order to better define the relationship between “R glosses” and Isidore’s text.
