This paper presents a case study on the description and evaluation of the main errors identified within a training assignment consisting in the translation of a criminal judgment from Spanish into Italian. Its main objective is to carry out a quantitative and qualitative analysis of the main typologies of errors spot from a functional, textual and contextual perspective by the trainer in the revision stage. The analysis is aimed at identifying the most important translation problems faced by students while producing their target texts. Such problems represent, ultimately, the areas that need to be addressed by trainers in order to improve the quality of the target texts produced by their students and create specific training units in their curricula.

Abstract
