Lisabilità is a project developed in a primary school in Venice since the school year of 2012- 2013. The aim of the project was to include a child with autism in his new class. Our pur- pose was to give him and his peers a shared and effective communication system. Therefore in this article, we present how Italian sign language has been used as an alternative form of communication and how it has become a resource for the whole class.

Abstract
