Bifunctional PdNb catalysts supported on porous materials with different textural and acidic properties were prepared by following two synthetic routes. The catalysts were tested in the hydrodeoxygenation reaction of dibenzofurane. Catalytic results point that the support employed and the preparation method played an important role. Those supported on SiO2 were the most active due to the lower acidity and greater proportion of Pd available.
