Alessandro Longhi, pittore e incisore del Settecento veneziano

Alessandro Longhi (1733-1813) is the most important venetian portraitist of the second half of the eighteenth century: he worked for the members of the patrician society, the class of "cittadini originari" (original citizens) and the emerging middle class. Thi dissertation is a monographic study about the artist, who was a famous painter and also an etcher. The PhD thesys contains the complete catalogue of his works.
