This paper explores the integration of Systems Thinking (ST) within Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), offering a novel interpretation of the Chinese Holistic Principle. Starting from traditional misconceptions, the study begins by examining the theoretical underpinnings and current practical applications of ST. Then, it delves into the philosophical roots of TCM, tracing its origins in Daoism and highlighting its key principles such as Qi, Yin-Yang, and the Five Elements. A comparative analysis then elucidates the concept of holism in both ST and TCM, highlighting synergies and divergences. Illustrating this synergy, a case study explores the body as a system, juxtaposing traditional and systemic representations. The study concludes by highlighting the transformative potential of interpreting TCM through ST, offering insights that can improve medical practices. Overall, this interdisciplinary approach promises to enrich our understanding of holistic medicine from both a traditional and modern perspective, inspiring future research endeavors.

Abstract
Overall, this interdisciplinary approach promises to enrich our understanding of holistic medicine from both a traditional and modern perspective, inspiring future research endeavors.I documenti in ARCA sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
