Una prospettiva stratigrafica per lo studio delle migrazioni e del mutamento sociale

Over the last thirty years, a line of research has developed that has given rise to a full-fledged discipline, collectively known as «migration Studies», and which has ac- quired a wealth of theoretical concepts, analytical constructs, and empirical practices. These constructs and perspectives, however, almost always focus on the trajectories of individuals. Here, however, adopting a diachronic perspective, we wish to focus on the sedimentation process of the different migratory ages, which can be defined in terms of migratory stratification.
