Manifestazioni del neutro nel latino circa romançum dei Regii Neapolitani Archiui Monumenta (sec. X)

This paper analyzes the evolution of the neuter gender in Late Latin, focusing on the development from the classical plural agreement ending in -a (eg. illa brachia) to the plural feminine form ending in -e (eg. st.It. le braccia). I will further support that the Neapolitan variety is extremely conservative, by providing the first in-depth account of the Regii neapolitani archiui munumenta (tenth century) and analyzing the morphological and morphosyntactic characteristics of the collected forms.
