This article examines the social impact of the 1980 Constitution on dictatorship Chile based on the coverage of APSI magazine(1976-1995) through the taxonomy of the Integral Chileans. The focus on APSI during the period 1976-1981 and Arturo Navarro, its first director until its first forced closure in 1981 allows a record of the period that highlights the articulation of public opposition to the regime and its androcentric nature. Consequently, it raises the scope of its middleclassness through the idea of educated left wingers and explores the extent to which this phase was key to the recovery of democracy in Chile.

Abstract

This article examines the social impact of the 1980 Constitution on dictatorship Chile based on the coverage of APSI magazine(1976-1995) through the taxonomy of the Integral Chileans. The focus on APSI during the period 1976-1981 and Arturo Navarro, its first director until its first forced closure in 1981 allows a record of the period that highlights the articulation of public opposition to the regime and its androcentric nature. Consequently, it raises the scope of its middleclassness through the idea of educated left wingers and explores the extent to which this phase was key to the recovery of democracy in Chile.
