The volume Think it Big! Heritage Rewind. Climate Change and New Communities: (Im)possible Dialogues? brings together the outcomes of the working tables of the CHANGES – NextGen Heritage project, focusing on the transformative role of cultural heritage in the context of major contemporary challenges, particularly climate change and migration. Through an interdisciplinary and participatory approach, the volume brings into dialogue researchers, cultural heritage professionals, institutions, and communities, critically examining models of protection, management, and valorisation of cultural heritage. The contributions address key issues such as community participation, citizen science, the relationship between heritage, environment, and landscape, symbolic conflicts, and the ethical and political implications of conservation practices. Venice is adopted as a privileged case study to reflect on practices of adaptation, resilience, and heritage governance in scenarios of environmental and social crisis. The volume concludes with policy recommendations and proposals for reforming the Italian Cultural Heritage and Landscape Code, offering critical and operational tools to rethink cultural heritage as a dynamic, shared resource oriented toward the future.

Abstract
The volume concludes with policy recommendations and proposals for reforming the Italian Cultural Heritage and Landscape Code, offering critical and operational tools to rethink cultural heritage as a dynamic, shared resource oriented toward the future.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
