The article explores how trade unions are confronting the challenges posed by eco-welfare, highlighting the interweaving of the climate crisis, environmental justice and social inequalities. It shows how the emergence of new models of collective bargaining geared towards sustainable development indicates that the ecological dimension cannot be separated from work and well-being. Eco-welfare is interpreted as a frontier of social innovation, in which bargaining becomes a predistributive tool capable of steering industrial, organizational and territorial choices. Particular attention is devoted to environmental inequalities, energy poverty and the effects of the ecological transition on vulnerable populations and workers.
