Notes on Eugenio Garzolini's collection from the ‘Antonio Morassi’ photo library at Ca' Foscari Born from the research paths marked by initial insights into the Garzolini collection, this contribution aims to provide a historical and critical framework for the state acquisition of the collections, which took place within the broader context of regional exhibitions and was influenced by the contemporary debate at the Institut International de Coopération Intellectuelle, as well as by the contribution of the magazine ‘Lares’. The research focuses on the epistemological relationship between the Museum and its context and outlines the scope of action in the research areas offered by art history photo libraries, continuing the already rich study of Antonio Morassi's photo library.
