Starting from a 1983 study by Gilbert Bosetti, the article explores the influence of André Gide on the work of Giovanni Comisso, focusing on the reportage from North Africa published in the newspaper «Gazzetta del Popolo» between 16 February and 28 April 1929 and partly included in "Viaggi felici" (1949). The first section, dedicated to the importance of certain French authors read by Comisso in the 1910s and 1920s, is followed by a documentary reconstruction aimed at demonstrating the writer’s direct engagement with Gide’s work. The final part is reserved for a comparative analysis, intended to identify textual correspondences and to assess the influence of Gide’s literary model on Comisso’s North African texts.

Abstract
Starting from a 1983 study by Gilbert Bosetti, the article explores the influence of André Gide on the work of Giovanni Comisso, focusing on the reportage from North Africa published in the newspaper «Gazzetta del Popolo» between 16 February and 28 April 1929 and partly included in "Viaggi felici" (1949). The first section, dedicated to the importance of certain French authors read by Comisso in the 1910s and 1920s, is followed by a documentary reconstruction aimed at demonstrating the writer’s direct engagement with Gide’s work. The final part is reserved for a comparative analysis, intended to identify textual correspondences and to assess the influence of Gide’s literary model on Comisso’s North African texts.I documenti in ARCA sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
