The aim of this article is to reflect on certain spaces from a food studies perspective and as an example of how Catalan imaginary conceptualized peripheries and borders in that area. Specifically, I am interested in reflecting on the kitchen space (public or private, restaurant or home) and how discourses of immigration and cosmopolitism have modified its uses. This article addresses the relationship between food and immigration, star chefs who explore new ways of cooking, and the reappropriation of traditional cooking.

Abstract
The aim of this article is to reflect on certain spaces from a food studies perspective and as an example of how Catalan imaginary conceptualized peripheries and borders in that area. Specifically, I am interested in reflecting on the kitchen space (public or private, restaurant or home) and how discourses of immigration and cosmopolitism have modified its uses. This article addresses the relationship between food and immigration, star chefs who explore new ways of cooking, and the reappropriation of traditional cooking.File in questo prodotto:
