Nietzsche's poetics of the letter are explored on the basis of all those passages in Nietzsche's work that explicitly address the special form of representation and communication that is letter writing. One such self-referential letter is then analyzed as an example. Nietzsche's letters are not simply private letters; they contain philosophical and aesthetic positions that in no way correspond to the views expressed in his writings. It is therefore impossible to interpret his writings biographically on the basis of his letters; rather, a multi-perspective interpretation must be favored.

Abstract
Nietzsche's poetics of the letter are explored on the basis of all those passages in Nietzsche's work that explicitly address the special form of representation and communication that is letter writing. One such self-referential letter is then analyzed as an example. Nietzsche's letters are not simply private letters; they contain philosophical and aesthetic positions that in no way correspond to the views expressed in his writings. It is therefore impossible to interpret his writings biographically on the basis of his letters; rather, a multi-perspective interpretation must be favored.File in questo prodotto:
