Girolamo Parabosco as Novelist and Some Aspects of the Venetian Culture of his Time · Trying to study relationships between the novelistic writer Girolamo Parabosco and the Venetian cultural environments between the fi rst and second half of the sixteenth century, the paper defi nes some contacts that the Venetian cultural landscape, linked precisely to the s. c. Venier Circle, had with writing modules which, although participating in the diπusion of the classicist canon of the Renaissance, nevertheless derogated from quite a few of the rules launched by Pietro Bembo. This involves a general revision of the poetic way of writing in Venetian middle Renaissance, in order to test greater or lesser willingness to follow poetics (the Bembian one) of undisputed success in Italy in the second half of the sixteenth century.
