This is the translation of seven selected poems by the young adivasi poet Jacyntha Kerketta, a member of a tribal comunity in North-Central India, who describes the struggle of her people and the women of her comunity in an environment put in danger by the encroaching activities of mining companies in search of exploiting a century-old habitat of the tribe.
