Pascal e i trascendentali. In margine a una metafisica implicita

The article is aimed to show the presence of an implicit metaphyics in Pascal’s thought, very close to the metaphysics of being and its transcendental properties (truth, good, and unity). Through an in-depth analysis of some texts, mainly belonging to Pascal’s Pensées, and some possible, albeit disregarded sources, the article tries to demonstrate that the trois ordres implies a metaphysics structured in accordance with two steps. In the first step, Pascal uses some abstract concepts, like being, truth, good, unity, synthetically interconnected, to study every fields of human experience; while, in the second one, Pascal claims that the first step is necessary to better understand human experience, but is not fully adequate, because, only Jesus Christ and, then human person, according to their different degrees of perfection, can be the real fulfilment of that synthetical interconnection.
