In the metaphysical tradition, the main arguments presented to introduce the freedom of the Creator are the Augustinian one (based on divine perfection) and the Scotist one (based on divine immutability). The former emphasises gratuitousness in God, the latter emphasises the power of choice. In Theosophy, Antonio Rosmini freely takes up both arguments, and enriches them with a complex theory in which the gratuitousness of the creative gesture is linked to the artistic imagination of God.

Abstract
In the metaphysical tradition, the main arguments presented to introduce the freedom of the Creator are the Augustinian one (based on divine perfection) and the Scotist one (based on divine immutability). The former emphasises gratuitousness in God, the latter emphasises the power of choice. In Theosophy, Antonio Rosmini freely takes up both arguments, and enriches them with a complex theory in which the gratuitousness of the creative gesture is linked to the artistic imagination of God.File in questo prodotto:
