The experience of languages is constitutive of identity and access to the intersubjective dimension; language autobiography (hence LA) is a tool to investigate these aspects. In the experiment, LA is used as a tool for training teachers, to make them perceive the links between linguistic paths and identity and reflect on their own experiences. Phases, products and outcomes of the study will be presented; the experiment has developed in teachers awareness of their own plurilingual profile and has promoted both a self-reflection on their linguistic, identity and professional history, and the acquisition of an attitude of openness, recognition and promotion of plurilingualism in the classroom.
