This essay retraces the architectural history of the Theater of Lesina in Dalmatia, located within the Arsenal, from its possible 17th and 18th-century form to its current 19th-century configuration. The paper offers hypotheses about possible connections with Venetian theatrical culture and contextualizes its social role in a city located in the heart of the Stato da Mar, marked by strong clashes between the nobility and the "commoners," but also by an important humanistic and literary culture. Finally, it presents what is known about the theater's repertoire, especially during the 19th century, when it was managed by the so-called Theater Society.
