Archaeozoology and archaeobotany provide significant research contributions to archaeology, highlighting the multiple relationships between humans, animals and the environment in the past. The data published so far on faunal remains from archaeological sites in the Venetian Lagoon from the Roman and early medieval times are not numerous, while those on plant remains are more but not homogeneous in the typology of analysis. The aim of this contribution is therefore to present the archaeozoological and archaeobotanical data from the Jesolo (VE) site and to compare them with known data, attempting to highlight the characteristics of the economy, diet and environment in the Venice Lagoon between the Roman period and the early Middle Ages.

Abstract
Archaeozoology and archaeobotany provide significant research contributions to archaeology, highlighting the multiple relationships between humans, animals and the environment in the past. The data published so far on faunal remains from archaeological sites in the Venetian Lagoon from the Roman and early medieval times are not numerous, while those on plant remains are more but not homogeneous in the typology of analysis. The aim of this contribution is therefore to present the archaeozoological and archaeobotanical data from the Jesolo (VE) site and to compare them with known data, attempting to highlight the characteristics of the economy, diet and environment in the Venice Lagoon between the Roman period and the early Middle Ages.I documenti in ARCA sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
