In Hermann Meister's (1890-1956) important early expressionist magazine “Saturn” (1911-1920), Robert Walser was able to publish a prose piece in May 1919 and two small sketches in September of the same year. He offered Meister further texts for publication. Although Meister held him in immense esteem and even wrote a hymnal essay in the same magazine about “the poet Robert Walser”, “of whose books far too few people still know, are uplifted, enraptured, enthusiastic”, according to the current state of research, no further collaboration between the two is said to have taken place. Unknown prints from the partial estate of Hermann Meister kept in the German Literature Archive Marbach (DLA) prove that this is a mistake.

Abstract
In Hermann Meister's (1890-1956) important early expressionist magazine “Saturn” (1911-1920), Robert Walser was able to publish a prose piece in May 1919 and two small sketches in September of the same year. He offered Meister further texts for publication. Although Meister held him in immense esteem and even wrote a hymnal essay in the same magazine about “the poet Robert Walser”, “of whose books far too few people still know, are uplifted, enraptured, enthusiastic”, according to the current state of research, no further collaboration between the two is said to have taken place. Unknown prints from the partial estate of Hermann Meister kept in the German Literature Archive Marbach (DLA) prove that this is a mistake.I documenti in ARCA sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
