Libertà e infinito in Antonio Rosmini

This contribution considers initial being as the root of human freedom. Human freedom is then treated in relation to interpersonal relationships and in relation to the concept of possibility. The connection between freedom and contingency then opens the discussion to divine freedom, which is illustrated according to the two main ways through which Rosmini introduces it. Finally, the notion of “gratuitousness” is addressed as the essence of original freedom and the regulative ideal of originated freedom.
