The 23rd Conference of the Parties (COP) to the UNFCCC has taken place in Bonn, Germany, from November 6th to 17th under the Fiji's Presidency. It is the first time in 23 years of climate debate that a small island developing state has the opportunity to lead the negotiations. As one of the most vulnerable nations to the impacts of climate change, Fiji's vision for COP23 puts high emphasis on the issues related to adaptation and vulnerability. This year's negotiations represent therefore a crucial opportunity to advance the role of adaptation within the Paris Agreement's rulebook and to progress toward a real parity between adaptation and mitigation activities.

Abstract
The 23rd Conference of the Parties (COP) to the UNFCCC has taken place in Bonn, Germany, from November 6th to 17th under the Fiji's Presidency. It is the first time in 23 years of climate debate that a small island developing state has the opportunity to lead the negotiations. As one of the most vulnerable nations to the impacts of climate change, Fiji's vision for COP23 puts high emphasis on the issues related to adaptation and vulnerability. This year's negotiations represent therefore a crucial opportunity to advance the role of adaptation within the Paris Agreement's rulebook and to progress toward a real parity between adaptation and mitigation activities.I documenti in ARCA sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
