Considering the importance of Fulgentius in the reception of Apuleius' fable of Cupid and Psyche, the paper sets out to investigate, by way of hints, how much and whether the late antique text influenced some of the main iconographic outcomes of the theme between the 15th and 16th centuries. In particular, the work proposes an interpretation of the room of Cupid and Psyche in Palazzo Capodiferro in Rome, where Fulgenzio seems to play a peculiar role.
