The paper proposes an emendation on the transmitted text of Sophocles’ fr. 83 R.2 (λακεῖν pro λαλεῖν). Through this emendation the hypothesis that fr. 83 R.2 formed a continuous text with fr. 79 R.2, as some scholars have argued, receives further support.
