“Nuova” riflessione interrogativa di R. Pettazzoni sui principali fondamenti della Storia delle religioni

The aim of this contribution is to highlight the scientific relevance of R.Pettazzoni’s Introduction to the volume La religione nella Grecia antica fino ad Alessandro (SMSR 1951), a revisited version of his own 1921 Introduction, since it reveals an unprecedented problematization of the most relevant foundations of the human sciences in the 20th century. In particular, the new Introduction confirms how the history of religions can be considered an important arena for the processing of founding categories and methods in the humanities.
