The production and the comprehension of relative clauses are impaired in deaf children with cochlear implants (CI). Previous studies showed that sentences derived by the movement of the object are particularly impaired. In this paper, we analyse the production and comprehension of relative clauses in a group of 11 Italian-speaking deaf children with CI (mean age: 8;7). One of the participants was given a linguistic training based on the explicit teaching of syntactic rules.
