Within the framework of the important intertextual dimension of Luis Alberto de Cuenca’s poetics, this work examines the case of «La malcasada»: from the title’s track, the relation of the poem with the tradition of «La bella malmaridada» is analyzed and it is shown that it is an apparent (and misleading) rewriting, by explaining the differences and meaning of the text.
