Gender based violence is a still present and emerging issue in Italian contemporary legal system. National legislator has defined new criminal and procedural rules in order to address the above mentioned problem. In the present work, after a brief normative description of the actual functioning of the Italian legal framework, we stress the importance of other factual improvements, in order to give a solution to this tragic criminal issue.
