The Salmasian Apograph of the Expositio totius mundi et gentium: a discovery · The article presents the discovery of a new manuscript (Paris, Bib- liothèque nationale de France, nouv. acq. lat. 1554, ff. 160-165) of the Expositio totius mundi, a text previously transmitted only through the editio princeps by Jacques Godefroy. It is very likely that it is exactly the apograph used by Godefroy, prepared by Claude Saumaise upon a medieval codex by his friend Juret. This article will discuss the origin of the manuscript and also highlight its textual quality and its ecdoctic importance.
