Un documento sobre los panos meridionales en el Mojos jesuítico (1753)

Critical edition of the Jesuit document entitled “Noticia de la jornada que acaba de hacer gente de la reducción de San Pablo a la gentilidad de la nación Noira” (Anonymous, 1753, ARSI - Archivum Romanum Societati Iesu, Rome). The context of production of the document is discussed regarding issues such as the possible authorship of the text, the variations in copies found in other documental funds (ARSI Paraquariae), the history of missions of Mojos, the history of San Pablo mission and the comparative ethnohistory and ethnology of the Southern Panoans (Pacaguara, Chacobo, Caripuna, etc.).
