Lignin, the main by-product of pulp and paper processes, displays many interesting features. Despite that, it is a highly variable and heterogeneous compound that shows a strict dependence of the chemical structure on the botanical origin and on the conditions adopted for its extraction. Abstract
Lignin, the main by-product of pulp and paper processes, displays many interesting features. Despite that, it is a highly variable and heterogeneous compound that shows a strict dependence of the chemical structure on the botanical origin and on the conditions adopted for its extraction. In this contribution, four technical lignins from steam explosion, kraft, sulfite and organosolv processes were fully characterized to derive correlations between the chemical structure and their functional characteristics.File in questo prodotto:
