This important work is to be considered one of the most significant contribution to the renaissance of the venetian playwright, in the second part of twenties century. In this text, are analysed only four of his mise-en-scène specially designed to be staged in the newly built Teatro Verde by Fondazione Giorgio Cini on the San Giorgio Island, in Venice. The four comedies are Le baruffe chiozzotte in 1954, Le donne gelose in 1956, Il campiello in 1957 and Chi la fa l’aspetta in 1958 : all produced by the Venice Biennale Theatre Festival. These original productions can be regarded as a coherent sequence from the artistic and stylistic point of view.
