The contribution focuses on transformations in the Cuban religious landscape and in particular on recent developments in santeria. The analysis concerns the processes of patrimonialisation of the religion of the so-called "negros brujos", which for decades has been revalued in an anti-syncretic sense as Yoruba religion and expression of Cubanity.
