The article aims to evaluate the impact of the FAMILIA project on the reduction of social hardship of some students with a migratory background in the province of Prato. The idea of the project was to act with a transdisciplinary approach by integrating actions, belonging to different areas of intervention, in a single complex management strategy. The article focuses on language teaching actions and how these actions have changed to meet the needs of the project and families. The results demonstrated the effectiveness of the intervention where the typical scholastic and territorial ones had failed.
