Today, environmental issues are the source of major daily news flows. Never before have they featured so prominently in the press, in everyday conversation and in political speeches. Whether we are talking about abnormally high temperatures compared with typical seasonal values, hurricanes, drought, floods or fires, coastal erosion or melting glaciers; Whether we're talking about possible nuclear disasters, energy shortages and the economic consequences that flow from them, individuals, companies and organisations seem to be gradually becoming aware of environmental vulnerability, which calls for in-depth reflection (political, economic, societal) not only on the causes of environmental challenges and the repercussions we face, but also on what the various stakeholders have to say about them. The overall impression is one of strong divergences, particularly in terms of ideology (questioning or defending the political and economic model), postures (sobriety vs. technological pragmatism; positive ecology vs. punitive and guilt-inducing ecology) and the personal experience of the direct victims of climate change.
