The Preparantia, a very brief ascetic treatise by Angelo Clareno, is one of his most widely disseminated texts, in particular thanks to Simone Fidati da Cascia. It is attested by a dozen handwritten witnesses, the oldest of which associates it with the latter's letters. While confirming the central role played by the Augustinian friar in the preservation and transmission of Clareno's writings, the examination of the handwritten tradition invites us to reflect on the constitution of the collections of letters of both men.

Abstract
The Preparantia, a very brief ascetic treatise by Angelo Clareno, is one of his most widely disseminated texts, in particular thanks to Simone Fidati da Cascia. It is attested by a dozen handwritten witnesses, the oldest of which associates it with the latter's letters. While confirming the central role played by the Augustinian friar in the preservation and transmission of Clareno's writings, the examination of the handwritten tradition invites us to reflect on the constitution of the collections of letters of both men.File in questo prodotto:
