In this contribution, Piermario Vescovo presents a philological reconstruction of the text of the lecture Bilder aus dem Gebiet der Pueblo-Indianer in Nord-Amerika, delivered by Aby Warburg in Kreuzlingen on 21 April 1923. Through the study of archival material, summarised with various examples, the author es- tablishes the relationship between the drafts of the text that have come down to us and reconstructs the chronology of its composition.
