Contestualizzazione degli intarsi in vetro da Tebtynis nel quadro dell’Egitto Greco-Romano

This paper presents a quick overview of the most relevant comparative data for the Tebtynis inlays, both in terms of similar workshop facilities and of typology of the finished products, with special emphasis on the recent discoveries, unavailable to Anti for the functional interpretation of the spaces and the materials. These new data offer the chance to better contextualize the craft area of Tebtynis in its cultural framework and to investigate the link between the different workshops for the production of inlaid objects located within or in close proximity of the temenoi of the Egyptian temples during the Ptolemaic and early Roman period.
