As part of the project Social Landscapes as Multicultural Spaces (SOLMUS) project, an archaeological excavation at Dabarsko Field in Herzegovina, which involving two very different sites, Hatelji and Milavici. In the village of Milavići, municipality of Bileća, there is an extensive cemetery, which probably dates back to the Bronze Age. The mound developed into a necropolis of greater of which 352 stelae have been preserved. Continued use of the cemetery from the Middle Ages to the modern times is not attested; more recent burials began only in the 1990s.
