This paper analyses the quotations from the vernacular translation of the first Catilinarian oration in the Vocabolario degli Accademici della Crusca, identifying two codices surely used by the cruscanti in the first and in the second impression of the Vocabolario: they are the ms. Corsiniano 44.C.8 (which coincides with a Giovan Battista Strozzi’s codex, quoted in the well-known Quaderno riccardiano) and the ms. Riccardiano 1563.

Abstract
